Today we talked about:Â
- [00:03] Katrin’s overload from multiple programs and how making a one-page course map + a very low bar daily drawing habit (pre-deciding) helped her re-engage.
- [00:05] Info about the ACC/Kajabi transition: continued access through approximately mid–April without extra fees; optional alumni access on ThriveCart Learn after that; community forum going away; coworking may continue independently. Current payment plans finish as scheduled, and everyone keeps access until April; re‑up decisions will happen closer to platform close.
- [00:12] Why engagement has declined on community platforms and why live coaching still drives results
- [00:17] Thoughts about how this all relates to Capacity, and perhaps, what to do next: hit pause on competing priorities, choose one project, and use Top Threes to protect time; Jessica’s example—parking a website redesign to finish the conference package first.
- [00:24] Sorting out priorities re: making money vs. chasing gigs. I suggest the Ground Truth training (opt-in on my home page: jessicaabel.com) and use the prioritization/priorities matrix for business decisions to decide if an opportunity is a gig or part of the long-term vision and say no accordingly.
- [00:40] Ideas for taming inbox overwhelm: unsubscribe ruthlessly, use filters to skip the inbox, archive broadly, star true action items; prioritize live sessions over stockpiling recordings.
- [00:46] When trying to establish a new habit, set a comically low bar (lines, spirals, a cup), pre-decide time/place, and stage your tools the night before. Most importantly, remember: The point is the practice, not the product. What you draw doesn’t matter. That you draw, does.
- [00:51] When sickness or life derails plans, mourn as needed, then make concrete decisions about date shifts and expectations for current capacity. Decide once and end the decision fatigue.
- [00:55] Review of logistics for the next cohort: welcome call next week, Creative Engine phase meetings start the week after. Come, even if you haven’t done all the work! The events are posted in Meetups in the ACC.
